I like to fix things and take stuff apart to see how it works. I was an Electrician's Mate in the Navy many years ago and have worked as an engineer in the aerospace industry for the last 25 years or so. I tend towards the "make it work" school of mechanics/carpentry. I still drive a 27 year old S10 pickup that I bought new and a few motorcycles that I like to ride and work on. Grew up in Montana and we learned to fix things when they broke because it was a long drive to anywhere with parts or mechanics and didn't have much money anyway - walked 10 miles uphill to school in the snow etc.
