    Good pick set?

Someone stole my hard handle Snap-On set. So I went to Harbor Freight and bought the orange ones. Two of them broke as soon as I used them. In a pinch I bought these Stanley ones at WalMart for $8.00. They are every bit as good as the Snap On set that I had. Very impressed.

    Snap-On Angle Wrench price

They are Snap On, but nothing great, and in low demand. I would offer him$80. If he says no, give him your number and walk away. Believe me, no one is calling him.

saw the "expert" tools on the mac tools truck.

MAC is making a huge comeback. Great tools and they won't cost you your retirement.

Snap on warranty on phillips tip

My Snap On guy replaces them without question, as he should. If your's does not, buy from someone else.

    borrowing tools in the shop

It is simply economically impossible for a starting tech to not have to borrow tools in today's day and age.

SK and Carlyle 1/4 Drive Socket Set Pics

I was skeptical at first, but I am more and more impressed with Carlyle Tools everyday. VERY nice stuff, especially the ratcheting wrenches.

Local Snap-On and S&K dealers story - not good

Buy the stuff cheaper off of eBay. Then when it breaks give it to a mechanic to get fixed. F-Them.

    Snap On ratchets

I have a couple of Dual 80's. While I haven't had one strip yet I get the feeling that they could at any minute. I have to wonder how high a tooth count can go before the mechanism become unreliable?

    Harbor freight must haves?

I am pretty much a tool truck snob. That being said, I think that HF has about 10 or 12 good products. The Pittsburgh Pro dual flex head 1/4 and 3/8 ratchet is by far the best product that I have bought from them though. I have never seen anything on any truck that compares.

You obviously haven't seen the new MAC 90 tooth ratchets yet.

    New From MAC Tools

I just looked at the gearwrench ones. I can't be positive, but these looked different. I only had a quick look. They looked like the might flex like a flex ratchet. Not positive though.

    New From MAC Tools

No clue, but they were very interesting. If I had to guess, I would say Sunex.
