Interestingly that layout and construction looks identical to the Yorktown Industries machinist box that I have, although potentially older. Yorktown was located in Lakewood, NY not far at all from Sherman. They sold their operation to Matco who still has a production facility in Lakewood.
Has anyone ever done a heated toolbox to deal with tools stealing warmth from your hands? Either a small electric heater to bring the box up to 110 degrees or a heated mat from a terrarium to put on top for tools to warm on. Brainstorm at 4 degrees F when working the other night
