I got my DeWalt 709 for $250 from home depot earlier this year. Granted, no portable stand, but it wasn't important to me.

I don't think its the "lowest price ever". I just think it is now the lowest price that they will sell the box for. I haven't seen a $349 coupon in quite a while.

I don't know about Home Depot, but when I worked at Wal-Mart about 10 years ago, they would inspect the returns and put them back on the shelves to be resold as new.
