I stayed in a hotel in Munich many years ago, it was a nice hotel and was in January on that trip. Each morning after I left for the day, the cleaning people would open the window wide (it was a huge window - approximately 4 x 4 feet and leave it open all day. Mind you, it was in the low 20s...

Those are Port-a-walls, and no don't waste your money. On low profile tyres they will never sit flat against the sidewall, and will look like rubbish. Those went away here in the 60s and good riddance. Rub just one curb and they are trashed, and they flop around at speed. Nothing good to say...

Drives, your weather was similar here in Richmond, VA. I woke up to 72 degrees at 6:30 yesterday morning, but by noon it was raining and the temps dropped into the 30s. around 1 in the afternoon the rain changed to sleet, then snow. By 4 there was nearly an inch of snow on the ground...

I always cringed every time Martin Clunes (Doc Martin) hit his head on the doorway header leading to his office at the surgery in the series town of Port Wenn (really Port Isaac) It would give me a headache each time he hit his head there and in many other places on the show. I've been to Port...

You can get gray outlets (should be GFCI unless the breaker is already that or the combo AFCI/GFCI). The gray will blend well with the stainless.

Love this thread, haven't commented before, but just had to show you my Vette, we have similar tastes in cars! I've also been looking at those lights, not sure I wouldn't need sunglasses when they are on though!

Vieux, I haven't comment on your thread but have enjoyed it immensely, seeing things in Russia through your excellent pictures that I may never get to see. As for this winter, yours is much worse than here in Virginia, but we have had snow several times and then coated with sleet and freezing...

I've never commented before on your topics, but I'd say just ignore the Aholes, they will always be around looking to bully anyone that happens to offer information or help. Their immaturity and ignorance shows and arguing with them will only encourage them to continue, so just ignore them, you...

I use a 12 volt bulb, like a tail light in series with the positive battery terminal and if there is a drain, the bulb lights up. Then do as suggested, remove a fuse at a time until the light goes out,and that is the circuit causing the drain. An old school test light can be used in place of a...

Above 1200 Sq/FT The Suburban Working Garage in VA...now building the Highland House in the Teton Valley

While I haven't commented on your thread here before, the only comment I'd offer for now is to never rely on heat tapes to fully protect pipes from freezing in brutal winters such as you will experience in the Tetons area. The reason? Power failures! All it takes is a day without power and...

As I recall for my Olds, it had an ignition key and a door key that also operated the trunk and also the glove box lock. If you haven't tried the third key in the glove box lock, see if it is for that.

You might want to check to be sure the alternator is actually charging the battery after you install it. You should see around 13.6 to 14.7 volts at the battery when the engine is running with no lights or other accessories on.

This chart shows your battery is at about 10% or so capacity for a lithium unit, likely needs replacing as you suspect.
