    You can buy a used 4 post lift from craigslist for cheap. We bought our rotary 2 post lift off craigslist for I think $900.

    Our cars are 14' long. That leaves us about 7' buffer. The dimensions are a bit limited with our property layout, and the maximum allowable footprint.

    We've had snap on pry bars with no logos left, and they warrantied it for us no problem, I'm sure you'll be fine with the warranty.

    Just some quick 3D sketch I did, it's roughly to scale (42' wide, 35' deep, and about 28' high, with a 14.5' clearance on the first floor, assuming ~ 1.5' for the floor joists, drywall, etc, with 8x10 garage doors.

    Ahh, thank you for the clarification. I don't think an architect is really what we need then from what you're saying. We're not looking for anything fancy. our house is relatively straight forward, and the garage will be pretty basic on the outside. I guess I will have to start looking...

    Sorry... CAD person...? I have a basic 3D drawing of the building design we want already, to scale. Nothing fancy, we'd just need someone to take into account the structure/load requirements, etc.
