Metal wall coverings, do they make the shop noisier?

I definitely noticed an increase in echo type noise after installing my metal ceiling in my 40x56x14. I just did the roof and have OSB walls. Its not HORRIBLE, but it is noticeable. It sure was easier to install than OSB or drywall would have been. I used a drywall jack and put up 16'x3'...

    storage tote labeling

I put a piece of clear packing tape on the side and write on the tape in 2" letters with a sharpie marker. When contents change, peal off the tape and start over. Not high tech, but I write big enough to see what's inside from 10ft away and its pretty darned cheap.

    What would you change?

I "second" the overhangs. One over the "man" door would be nice. I haven't gotten to gutters yet, but that will be nice. OH, "finish" the interior before you move in. Now finishing requires moving all my ****.

Materials for garage ceiling--Metal VS 4x8 panels

I'm on the North end of Colorado Springs. Any suggestions for buying interior metal for the ceiling of my 40x56 pole barn ? (There's no Menard's around here.) I'm about ready to "bite the bullet" and spend the cash, but not sure where to go. Menard's can ship it, but it adds a bit to the...

Best way to fill in ribs on pole shed?

Pretty sure you're talking about "rat guard" and it should have been installed by Morton. It is like a flat sheet metal cut to fit the along the ribs and installs horizontally near the ground, sealing out vermin. I'd definitely call Morton and see why it was not installed. Probably overlooked.

    Ceiling thoughts wanted!

That looks great. I should have done that in my basement room. I'm currently sanding the drywall (which *****). That looks clean and sharp. Nice work !

    cutting 2/2/2/4 SE-R?

I used a "branch lopper" You know, the kind used to trim small branches off of trees ? They cut through it like butter ( all four aluminum wires ).

    Which Opener for 18x10?

Are they all capable of lifting a 10' door high enough, or do you need to buy some sort of extension ?

Best inexpensive way to cover inside walls of garage

Looks good LordDiesel. I've just started mine with 7/16 OSB as well. I started the "end" wall, since that is what I have insulated so far. I keep looking for a drywall jack on Craigslist so I can do the 14' ceiling as well. Quick question though, You're not going to do a vapor barrier ...

My 30x50x13 National Barn Build, The Lincoln Lair

Yeah, Code Dept required them to be Engineer Stamped. AND they did not pass the drawings because of some verbage the guy put on them. The Inspector did not like it and made me send them back to the Engineer for clarification, SO I go back next week and try again. That and what a maze of ****...
