    My point being....used to getting picked-on and last-picked, (oh, also used to getting the c@#& beat out of me) ;). About rafters... Back in the 70s, be4 I purchased prop Garage bild ~20x22. Roof support/construction only used 2x6 wood, don't know the species..., lots of sagging, 4feet OC...
