I run around daily with this one I built and I've used it as a welding table, jack plate, stool, and carry 65lbs of tools.
Doesn't help you much but it meets my needs perfectly
I'm going to update again for any other buggers like me with this saw. It was an ensley tool co design, ensley also built one as model #721. Theres also a possibility of ensley 722 and a millers fall tools one thats the same/similar.
I'm weighing the price and I may just buy another at this point.
Sounds good to me, good info thanks! There brass bar stock.
Really wish I had the pipe jaws And its definitely been been abused, I had to weld the slide as it had a crack at the back off it. I've cranked down with this thing and no issues.
Did not have a good experience dealing with reed thou...
Figure I'm not a part of GJ till I post a vise. Its a reed #34 from 1905. 6" jaws, don't have the swivel base. Old flyers listed it at 178lbs with the base. Had a brass jaws put on because the old ones didn't exist anymore.
Well figure I'll up date. As above best quote was $300 at least locally but eurtonelectric in California said $85, so my motors going for a ride down south.
It worked, but it had a dead spot and would smoke when it did work. Its a 2 speed switch and it worked. Brushes are still good. The armature and the communicator have some issues. Looks like the wire has burned back from the connection.
The lowest quote I'm getting locally is $300. I have some friends that said they might be able to help, but nothing yet. The older porter cable armature looks like it might work but thats a shot in the dark at $120. Just really hate to throw something away that is real sturdy and unique(couldn't...
Thought I would share this thing since I cannot find another one. But I could also use a hand as the motor is toast and no on makes a replacement. I would like to get it running again. It runs a 64.5" blade.
