EZ Car Lift or Quick Jack BL-5000

There was an end of year sale when I bought mine so I suspect the sales are fairly regular.

EZ Car Lift or Quick Jack BL-5000

OP checking back in. See my post #16, four year later (wow, time flies) all of the first impressions still hold true. The infinite lift height is really nice. Raise a lowered car about 4 inches to do underhood work without bending over as much. Removing seats or detailing rocker panels set...

EZ Car Lift or Quick Jack BL-5000

I chose EZ Car Lift and am very pleased with the decision. You can disassemble to two cross bars and then either store the unit under the center of a car, or you have two separate pieces that are about the size of the Quick Jacks. Keeping the EZ assembled and leaning against a wall is nice, if...

Who doesn't have a fire extinguisher in garage

Make sure that the placement is good - not buried under other stuff, and near the door you'll be running out of. You don't want to have to go through a fire to get to the extinguisher. There is one in our bedroom on the floor right by the door. It doesn't look pretty, but it's not moving.

My BMW Motorsport 3 Car Garage Build

Another way to do this assumes that you are fresh painting the entire wall and not just half. For sake of discussion, the entire wall is painted white and then the bottom half will be black. Paint the white. When dry tape your line. Now paint white over the tape and let it dry. Now paint...

What's on your walls? Neat storage ideas!

Wingnut65, that's an awesome use of space. Just check yourself for flammability concerns with the liquids. You're probably ok, but just double check what you are storing in there if anything has a pilot light.

Looks like the early to mid 80's boxes I grew up with in my Dad's garage

I wonder who is enjoying my dream garage (Buffalo/Lockport, NY)

Address is 6994 Hidden Oak Dr, 14094. One road subdiv (with the widest neighborhood road, I might add) off of Tonawanda Creek N Rd. Technically in Pendleton, half of our mail addressed Lockport, half Pendleton.

I wonder who is enjoying my dream garage (Buffalo/Lockport, NY)

May be buried but someone is toasty warm in there with the heat and the amount of insulation that went into it.

I wonder who is enjoying my dream garage (Buffalo/Lockport, NY)

Built a detached 2 car garage while I lived there in 2003. Unfortunately a job change meant that I left town about a month after it was completed so I never really got to use it. Only two car wide (because I wanted outside parking on both sides for RV and car trailer) and planned to just park...

One tip that came to mind from the last time I had fresh walls and a sink in the garage - mount some clear plexiglass on the wall above and surrounding the sink. At some point someone will be washing vigorously or a part will splash water - much easier cleanup.

    Shelving ideas

For my basement I did something crude and similar to jmack recommendation. 4x4 x 6 foot posts on the corners, 2x4 x 6 foot posts every 4 feet with 4x8 sheets at the 3 foot high and 6 foot high marks. Shelves sat on small pieces of 2x4 cut and screwed to the posts. Way heavy, way strong, and...
