The tips are round and flat, you insert them side ways and twist them and they lock into the races. As far as the ball carrier you lever them out with a screw driver. They sell the kits on amazon and they get good reviews.

I think that would be extremely hard to line up, plus it might have been a later design where atlas realized the problems with this.

I'm restoring an old Atlas drill press and need to replace the bearing in the hi low speed attachment. However, after examining it I don't see anyway to safely get it apart without risking damage to the pulley. The pulley is made of zamak and is not the most durable material. I searched the...
