Is it ok to run wiring, 12-2 romex, in the 1.5" space between the metal siding and the stud wall? I would probably cable tie them to the studs and staple to the 24 lath board then cut the cable tie after spray foam. I originally planned to just drill holes but wondered about this as an option...

Would blocking or furring strips be better? I wonder about using the furring strips because it doesn't seem like that's enough to screw the drywal to and have it hold. Same goes for the metal hat channel. I was thinking 2x4 blocking in between trusses would give better hold, but it would also...

My 30x50x12 building has 4/12 trusses spaced 5' oc. My question is can I just add blocking spaced 24" oc in between the trusses to hang my ceiling drywall on? The truss lumber is 2x8 I believe.

I suppose it would help to say that I am in Arkansas, so the warm side definitely varies. I would love to do closed-cell foam, but $1.25 a board foot based on estimates that I have seen online makes the insulation cost like $12,000 for 3 inches of foam to get R-20. That's like 10 times the cost...
