Euco Diamond Hard for shop floor?

Great info! my slab is 30x40, and I'm already going to have to do at least half at a time to shuffle things out of the way. Is there any more prep involved that just sweeping it up? Do you need to mop it or anything? Assuming it has to be VERY dry to apply? Thanks!

I'm genuinely surprised, this is the first time I posted something, and someone with experience hasn't chimed in haha.

Euco Diamond Hard for shop floor?

Hey All - I was talking to a friend of mine that is the VP for a concrete sealants and restoration company the other day, and I had mentioned that I wanted to do SOMETHING to my 30x40 shop floor, but didn't want to spend the money on epoxy, he suggested Euco Diamond Hard. I did a quick...

Garage Loft - Floor Truss support framing and stairs

Ok - here's how I'll do this part then - treat it just like a window. Triple 2x6's in the wall, supported by two studs on each side of the cavity. Those that should be plenty strong considering they are really only holding up that small section (60sq/ft) of loft. Then i'll build out that wall on...

Garage Loft - Floor Truss support framing and stairs

I see the advantage of moving the headers for more floor space, but as others mentioned, I don't want to sacrafice headroom for moving things - EVEN THOUGH I will have a winch on a unistrut track mounted to the peak of the ceiling for lifting heavy things up to the loft.

Garage Loft - Floor Truss support framing and stairs

I like that idea - assuming i'd keep both posts, there's no reason not to build a full wall in front of the stairs.

Is you garage shop to far away from your house?

About 185 feet door to door for me. Generally no big deal, but the northwest wind can be a ***** in the winter. I'm likely going to put in a sidewalk that will incorporate the fire pit in the future. Some how the placement of the firepit 8 years ago as well as the location of both the shop...

Garage Loft - Floor Truss support framing and stairs

Ok - so even if I keep the posts, we're saying that i'd want to double up the last full truss next to the stairs? And do we still think there's a chance to get rid of the posts, or is that asking for trouble? I would have no problem with the post on the high side to support the floor and...

Garage Loft - Floor Truss support framing and stairs

Oh - Sorry I should clarify this is for a loft and doesn't have any structural bearing on the building at all - I have a full roof and shell already in place. This will just be for storage. Photo just before I did the ceiling insulation:

Garage Loft - Floor Truss support framing and stairs

Hey Everyone - I'm getting ready to frame up and get my loft trusses built - just going through adding it to my sketchup model to try to head off any issues - When i'm framing the headers for the trusses to land on around the stairs - what's the best way to support the wall end of the headers...

Thermal Bridging in roof/ceiling framing in regards to insulation

I would love to do blown in for the ceiling, but the slope of the sides makes it much more challenging. It would be an absolute no brainer if I had a flat lower truss member. I could still do it with blocking and more chutes, but it would always want to creep down the slope. It's a 16/12...
