A toolbox - when you are great it's hard to be humble

That is deinatley a Lyon, Vidmar, Equipto or Nu-era industrial cabinet I wouldn't waste a second trying to acquire it! You won't regret it!

Tools you don't want for Fathers Day,

Snappin turtle makes some high quality tie downs and ratchet straps, my friend works there and he sent me all these for free. As for Father's Day tool gifts that you don't want I would not want to receive any tools as gifts unless I asked for them specifically.

Plumbers......How do you Keep a 1 1/2 inch drain line clear?

Too much pitch will cause the liquids to flow by the solids, leaving the solids to sit in the pipe.

I have a BIG Problem with my Water Well!

It's a submersible pump if the well is that deep... it could be the check valve passing water (bad check valve) on top of the pump. Could also have hole in the galvanized pipe, or any spot where there could be electrolysis from two different metals submerged in water. The well could be running...

    PVC Splicing Question

I would not recommend those PVC "socket savers". I have tried using them at work to bore out PVC fittings, it's hard to keep them centered and they will ruin the whole fitting!

Lets see your Tool Carts/Service Carts

Correct shopboy, that's the 05crf450 being worked on and the 08 is nice and toasty stored in the basement during these cold months.

Lets see your Tool Carts/Service Carts

Yes it is indeed a Stanley Vidmar modular mobile tool cabinet, I got it off of craigslist for 250.00. I do not use "regular" toolboxes anymore. I have a tall Vidmar and a rolling extra wide Lyon as well, I need to get around to painting them to match each other (in the spring when it's warmer here).

Lets see your Tool Carts/Service Carts

This is my tool cart I use when I'm working on something away from my main toolboxes. It was originally an emergency room "crash cart" . I mounted my creeper to the side of it and it has a 4 gang outlet with extension cord for using power tools. I love this cart.

    Does anyone have geothermal heating?

I install geothermal systems at work, maybe I could answer some questions. Both the owners of the company have it installed at their houses and our shop as well. In five years we have done about 1000 installations.

The VINTAGE toolboxes of Garage Journal!

Thanks, when I worked in parts departments at car dealerships we had aisles and aisles of Stanley Vidmars stuffed full of parts. We had some drawers loaded up with over 200lbs of parts , they never let out a whimper. I knew someday I'd find some and use them for toolboxes.

The VINTAGE toolboxes of Garage Journal!

Hunted these down on craigslist, the Stanley Vidmar is 27 years old and the Lyon is 23. They are very tough toolboxes.

What's up with this Snap On driver?

I find the loose cover useful...I hold that part in my fingers in one hand and spin the nut driver quickly with my other. I reckon it's there's for that reason as well as easily distinguishing it between other nut drivers.
