Thanks for the input! My father in law said the exact same thing, so its incorporated into the ceiling. A hydraulic piston, however, is something neither of us had thought of, so now I need to go find one! Here is the latest and greatest for the pup!

Well last night I had a garage door company stop by and quote me for insulated doors. Looking at adding insulated doors w/ windows, and now in the debate for replacing the garage door openers. I want better noise and heat retention w/ zero air gaps and a better fit, so its time.
