It is a 4 coat system and he is counting the flakes as a coat. Prep is by grinding, followed by a base coat, full chip flake coat (about 65 lbs worth) and 2 clear coats. Is NOT using primer a problem? I saw a garage done by this installer and the epoxy extended out the front of the garage...

I priced out an industrial epoxy floor system for $2500 installed (2 car garage). It is solvent based, 10 mil base coat, full chip coat, and two clear coats (40 mil total thickness). Also 100% solids. Does this seem like a good system (and price?). thanks
