I wish I could say it was a real BRE, sadly it was not a real BRE. It would be incredible if it was. He put the car together with a group of Datsun specialists around the same time the 510 had so much success in racing. From what I recall, he tore the car down to the unibody and built it back up...
I just finished getting up-to-date with this thread. AMAZING WORK! Love it.
Also, good luck with the 240Z build. My Dad used to have a Datsun BRE 510, a car he wishes he never sold. I personally love the 240.
I love the upgrades to the HF 20 ton press. As small an upgrade as it is, I think my favorite had to be the relief valve knob. More manufacturers need to do that exact upgrade for presses like this.
I also love the Dake press. One day I'll find one of those bad boys for my garage.
I'm going to be needing a shop press soon. The 20 ton variety is what I'm going for.
So far I've seen HF thrown around as being a decent press, with mods. I've also been looking into Sunex, and Arcan. I haven't settled on anything yet. Which is the reason for this post.
Does anyone have a 20...
Excellent build! I love the layout.
I had a question about the plywood for wall covering. What made you ultimately decide to go with plywood? Sorry if I may have missed it earlier in the thread. I love the idea, but was curious about the benefits over other materials.
Just saying hello. Getting ready to start posting garage improvement related posts as soon as I get some space cleared away.
Hopefully there are some fellow North Carolinians on here.
Cheers!
