Like many others I'm loving this thread.
Your skills make me feel inadequate but it's great to know there are people out there that can do what we wish we could.
I'm just going to stand in the corner for a little while now and try to think where I went wrong.
Cheers!
Thanks Tom.
I know of one guy who went to see a TR4A advertised for sale and when he got there it was actually a TR5 (a 250 with factory fuel injection).
He tried to tell the vendor that his ad was incorrect but in the end he purchased the 5 ($$$) for 4A ($) money. Win! :rocker:
Why can't we...
Thanks for the advice guys.
With the baking soda do I just mix with water - ratio? - and brush it into and over the floor before rinsing off? How long do I leave it on before rinsing?

Hoping you can help me.
The photo attached shows my 25 year old garage floor and the "erosion" or "corrosion" that is happening.

It's easy, relatively inexpensive, comes in a variety of thicknesses for different applications and it's lightweight so it's easy to handle.
You can buy it from a lot...
Thanks guys.
Bob,
this is on my Triumph TR7 V8 race car.
Engine is a Rover 4.6 litre V8 and no computers in sight.
I'm guessing "old school" might be the way to go so we'll give that a try.
Cheers.
My dyno guy and I have been trying to get the timing right on my race car over the last couple of days and we're having trouble getting a stable "flash" on the front pulley with his digital timing light. :headscrat
The ignition system is all Mallory with a 6AL controller, magnetic trigger...
I wonder if dry ice would work on the roof insulation?
I know it works real good on that tar-like floor insulation so loved by manufacturers and so hated by restorers.
Just dump some on a section, wait for the sub-strate to start making cracking sounds, shove it into another location and scoop...
