Run a search for the Champion 3500 watt model. There was a whole section on it at rv.net . Usually around $300 at Tractor Supply. Not the quietest, but decent for the money.

Fluxcore is easy and if you work outside, it's great.

I'm a bachelor and let mine get out of hand. I bought CLR in the yellow bottle (for toilets I think). Multiple applications and a regular toilet scrub brush, but it did come out. I was about to borrow some phosphoric acid from work if that didn't work. :D

If you're just heating/cutting the parts you're going to scrap, go for it. If you're heating something that stays on the car, then no.
