    '78 F350 Dually Project

Wow, them EPA folks are all over our oils ain't they ? I think Bobstheoilguy has a list somewhere on the site of the oils now and their zddp content... I have put Risolene ZDDP additive in my 4.0 Jeep motor just for giggles. I keep forgetting to at every oil change though, so I am probably...

    '78 F350 Dually Project

Nice rig, I love the 70's Ford trucks. If it has the original engine in it, do it a favor and run diesel oil or a high ZDDP oil over that flat tappet cam. JMO

    Floating Concrete Steps

I have never seen those either. Almost look like precast units that were brought out and installed with spacers/ some type of anchoring material. Almost too clean looking to have been formed, poured and hand finished. I dunno. JMO

    Door help please!

RB answered the height issue.... Single track denotes you are hanging the track outside of the door opening ?? (unless they are going back in a pocket) If so, how much do you want the doors to hang over the sides when they are closed ? Let say two inches. If so, your total width door span...

Sewer and floor drains where there arent any?

Well, from where I sit it appears that you will have to physically find the main sewer pipe exiting the building. Maybe the city will help or you may have to use other methods like digging, camera or "witching" even. Then, sawing, breaking out concrete trenches in the floor and piping in what...

    Home made sheet metal brake.

WOW, that is some fine machine work. I bet it bent the 15 gauge easy.

Sewer and floor drains where there arent any?

Good advice so far. Don't waste your money hiring anyone until you find a set of "as built" plans for the buildings with mechanical/plumbing drawings showing the existing drains and main sewer lines. Otherwise, anyone looking to give you advice or prices....is shooting in the dark. JMO

    Uneven heating & Cooling

This happened on the home we sold two years ago. Horizontal Amana gas furnace/ AC unit in the crawl space. The unit had this trap on it installed by the original HVAC installer guy I guess. It dumped right in to a Lil' Giant condensate pump.

    Uneven heating & Cooling

Whenever a person chooses to run their A/C air handler fan on "Manual/On" during the cooling season, just a note. The air handler evaporator's condensate water drains the most, when the unit fan cycles off. While the fan is off, is when most all of the water in the evaporator's condensate drain...

    Electric heat

x2. Anyone think a heater like this would work just for "working in the shop" time only ? OP could use a 20# tank of propane. I would highly recommend adding a carbon monoxide detector in the shop though if one is used. Just as a back up sensor to the units safety shutoff...

Low Temp Thermostat For Meat Hanging?

Maybe something like this ? Grainger or any HVAC store has them also. The T-stat bought has to be matched with the voltage of your heater. Either 240 or 120 volt. Most have the option of wiring for closing of their contacts on heat rise or fall. JMO...

    Question about a roof design

I think Lakeroadster is denoting "K" on my sketch as the garage roof pitch, not the shed roof pitch. And yes, a 10/12 reads a bit high for a garage but I am sure the OP will come back and verify if he mis-stated it. The garage pitch is just needed for the CAD layout presentation, as it will...

    Question about a roof design

I am not following your reply very well Radix. My sketch depicts a level ledger attached to the garage and a level beam...same plane of axis. The end of the beam is around 7 ft. away from the wall on one end, about 14 ft. away from the garage on the opposite end. My sketch is NOT to scale...
