The AUSCO Thread - Auto Specialties Manufacturing Co.

I listed this in the general tool forum as well- bought this transmission jack today for $90. I don’t know anything about it but it is very heavy duty - and the casters have zerk fittings. not hydraulic and has an AUSCO sticker. Does anyone know if it’s legit and model number.

    Help ID Transmission Jack

I need help identifying a trans jack I bought locally for $90. It is a screw drive, non hydraulic so you spin the center disc to move it up or down - max height is 6 feet.. A label on the side says AUSCO but I can’t find any useful info on it or model number on line. It is very heavy duty and...

    Shop speakers/sound system

I just use my Bose sound bar with BT from my phone - great sound, simple, no wiring. I have T-Mobile cell service so all streaming services don't use data - even if they did, I have Wi-Fi in the shop as well. Decent BT speakers are pretty inexpensive these days...

    Bubble Insulation on Roof

I'm in Maryland as well and though I didn't opt for it they installed the DB between the purlins and metal roof panels. My PB building is a 30x40x12' , with 1 foot soffit vents and a ridge cap; my concrete has a vapor barrier as well. I didn't insulate for another two years after the build and...

Building new garage - Ceiling height for lift?

14' is plenty. In my case I went with 12' walls and scissor trusses on a 2/12 pitch so the ceiling peak is about 14' . 3' in from walls is 12'6".

Please recommend some ways for getting Internet to my barn!

I went through this with metal pole bar 150' from my house. When no other options worked, I rented the trencher and buried both cable and CAT 6. Took less than 4 hours to trench including pick up/return and now I have great wifi and fios TV service in barn.

    Uhauling a 4 post

Already mentioned - what will a local tow company charge for flatbed truck delivery? Another option is local installer who will deliver and install for you. In my case, it was worth the $650 to do it this way.

Car lift - Unloading from delivery truck?

I see you're in PA. This past February I had AR Automotive Equipment in Shrewsbury PA take delivery of and deliver/install my Weaver 2-post lift. Total cost was $650 and worth every penny. If interested call Rubin at 410-977-5053.
