Bahco BH3HD8000 jack stands - good Esco alternative

The jack is really good. I bought it based on the recs from the forum. It’s really expensive, but worth it IMO

Bahco BH3HD8000 jack stands - good Esco alternative

Bought those jack stands from Bahco a while ago and I find them really good. I paid around 60€ per piece. 8 ton rated each - not for the pair like jack stands usually are. They don’t have a flat top, rather a saddle shape but I don’t mind. On the picture I extended them to their max height -...

Go get a boroscope camera if you don't already have one

I wanted to for a long time but I don't know which one to buy. Are those ones that you connect to your smartphone any good? I mean the type where the phone serves as a screen connected to a joystick.

    Coil spring compressor

Exactly. After I have heard stories of broken teeth and noses I noped out of those claw ones very fast.

    Coil spring compressor

I have the same set but in blue case. I have now removed tens of springs with it. I'd say go with this one and definitely avoid the classic design listed in this thread - the one for 23$. It always moves on the spring - a few times it almost fell off for me, as the spring twists. I think the...

What to do with tools that just don't sell?

In the past I have bundled tools I didn't need and sold them for a low price. Win win - every time I found a happy buyer, avoided the hassle of selling separately and got rid of them.

    Tools from the old world

Yes, but good rebrands. Pliers are from Knipex, screwdrivers from Felo, wire brushes are Lessmann. Their ratchets are mediocre, but sockets are great. There's more to this company than just soap...

    Tools from the old world

I have some Wurth tools. Maybe 10% is manufactured in Germany, the rest is Taiwanese probably - anyway very solid tools. If you want German made wrenches go for Stahlwille or Hazet, then you'll be sure.

    Under Hood Automotive Lighting

I bought a corded underhood lamp - it took me a while to find one though. I think in this application cordless doesn't make sense, replacing batteries is a hassle, and the cord doesn't get in the way that much. I really like using it, makes working much easier. I have the M12 rover and don't...

    Metric Wrenches--USA or other?

I'd say Stahlwille. I have both the 13s and 14s and strongly prefer them over Facom 440s. To me they are the perfect wrenches.
