Wera's latest, most complete 1/4" metric set

It's been a long time, but back in my youth I used to love those things. I had 4 late 70's 164e straight 6 sedans, even a 122 wagon (never got that one running) and a turbo 245 wagon with manual trans! I used to mess with air cooled VW's back then too, but now I don't really wrench much...

Decent Cheap 10 or 20 wrench roll pouch?

I made my own, from a piece of leather. I've had it for 25 years and doubt any burlap sac version would weather the years with such splendor. Pretty self-explanatory how to fashion your own, not much to it. The leather formed around each wrench for that TIGHT "molded" fit we all love to see...

Wera's latest, most complete 1/4" metric set

LOVE that M12 soldering iron! I cut my solder-tethers 15 years ago with a Weller BUTANE *******, but it was always clogging up and running out of fuel, and took longer to warm up, etc. I loved it at the time, but hate it now compared to the M12 2488 soldering iron. It really is a joy to use...

Thanks, I am interested in learning, but your link is bogus.

Looking for some knife making tools...

What are you using for a belt-grinder? I just stopped in to give props to my Kalamazoo 1SM 42x1. I don't make any, but I keep my production and semi-customs very sharp.

Milwaukee M18 Fuel impact protective boots

I have "modified" plastic blow-molded cases with a heat-gun. Just warm up the plastic until it's pliable, then mold it to your liking. I recommend the Milwaukee 2688-20 M-18 Compact Heat Gun (Bare Tool).

    When/Why To Use Socket Adapters? 3/8 to 1/4, 1/2 to 3/8, etc

I logged in, typed a great response, but GC had logged me off and erased it all when I clicked, "Post Reply". How can I extend the time I'm logged in? What is this short, seemingly random, time limit anyway? I'll try to re-type my response, but it's lost its glory: I bought a set of adapts...

    M12 cordless ratchet?

I probably didn't need three tools either, but adding that third tool doubled the savings from only buying two bare tools. I basically got free rubber boots for all three drive tools, it covered all the sales tax, and then some change on top of that. I always end up close to $500 everytime I...

Your thoughts on using just 1/4" and 1/2" drive tools Abandon 3/8" drive?

Re: Your thoughts on using just 1/4" and 1/2" drive tools Abandon 3/8" drive? Hell YES! That's like my new thing! I mean, the monetary outlay for all the satin chrome I got is like peanuts compared to Hazet, but it gives me the same feeling in use, so I just bought my first chrome socket...

Your thoughts on using just 1/4" and 1/2" drive tools Abandon 3/8" drive?

Re: Your thoughts on using just 1/4" and 1/2" drive tools Abandon 3/8" drive? They look exactly the same, made in Taiwan? I bet they're the same. Nice Satin finish? They look nice!

Your thoughts on using just 1/4" and 1/2" drive tools Abandon 3/8" drive?

Re: Your thoughts on using just 1/4" and 1/2" drive tools Abandon 3/8" drive? Dude! Are those OEMTOOLS in 1/2" chromes? SICK! I just bought the 3/8" and 1/4" sets in both Metric and SAE, because I love their satin finish! I need that 1/2" set! Where'd you get it/how much was it?

Your thoughts on using just 1/4" and 1/2" drive tools Abandon 3/8" drive?

Re: Your thoughts on using just 1/4" and 1/2" drive tools Abandon 3/8" drive? Same. This notion began when I got my Grey Pneymatic DUO 1/2 drive sets in both the Metric and SAE. I added regular GP deeps to match the sizes. I couldn't believe how high and low it went, from 10mm to 36mm and...
