My home garage complete with chassis dyno

Thanks! I'm inversely the same way with a turbo Stang and yes I tune them. I have dreams ... one can dream right? If nothing else, to pay homage. I appreciate that you recognized the inference though! They are definitely there, I have 2 up front and 4 in the back. Without those I wouldn't...

Something like this? My setup was about 30k as previously noted.

My home garage complete with chassis dyno

Yes sir, I couldn't have built this place without the use of the skids. My brother, uncle and cousin all have them, albeit different brands. They were especially helpful in the dyno install actually. Since the dyno is about 5500 pounds, the only thing short of an industrial 18000 lb fork lift...

Very nice! The work firewall stripped out the photobucket pic until now!

I actually have WinPep 7, my pressure regulator came mounted in that box, so I left it in the box and tap conned the entire box to the wall.

Here are some pics, but I just decided to make a new thread since this was originally about the dyno. There is more pictures in the link below, along with some information. http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?p=3095116#post3095116

My home garage complete with chassis dyno

Here are some pictures of my pretty much finished garage (sans some organization and little things), it's a bit of a mess due to the lift install that was going on this weekend, but you get the point ... it was built for function and not fashion anyway. The waste oil burner is a Clean Burn and...

The garage is 2800 square feet (how big do you think it should be?) and the dyno is already installed and functioning? Did you read only the last page?

I think this is a slightly better layout. Time to get to it! (at least the first lift)

Here is the latest now that I've had a chance to go out there with the tape (the 24x25 was a rough guess while at work) . I think I may bring the outer posts closer to the walls about 6" on each side?

I have the plans already, so this is good confirmation of that path, thank you. Thanks for the drawing, I may definitely go this way since others have achieved success Thanks for confirming this works

The building is actually 2 parts 28x42 and 32x34 with another 18x28 of storage over the top of the workshop portion, about 2800 square feet total. The 25x24 part (which is actually 26'8" x 24'2" ID) is part of the 28x42 section. Most of it has 16' ceilings, but the workshop portion of it has...

No, $15 a foot is a ****** and I refuse to let Crush Proof **** me ... especially now that it was confirmed by another member that their hose can't even withstand the exhaust heat by itself.

Nah, I'm happy with a standard flow bench (although I wouldn't mind using a supercharger to push air through and maybe introducing some smoke into the inlet of it), there are other things to flow besides a head and I like experimenting and testing (hence why I bought the dyno) so I will be happy...
