Possible mistake place screw in drywall, looking to buy videoscope for future use

I got a Chinese made scope cam on Amazon for like $15 a few years back. Has already paid for itself over and over again. It's about 15-20' long, has a built in light and plugs into USB. The documentation it came with was super Chinese; manual was barely decipherable and it came with a...

    Worst tool/bit/socket storage trays ever...

I have a Ryobi bitset that is kind of like that, only they tilt up so it's easier to slide in and out of.

Better Way to Not Get Smushed by HF Jackstands

I thought about getting those (again, was looking for something that wouldn't dig into my epoxy floor), but they're just way too skinny and sketchy looking for me. The base looks way too narrow for the height; plus the fact that it's one flat pad means the floor would have to be completely flat...

Better Way to Not Get Smushed by HF Jackstands

Was literally just about to post this. After I got wind of the HF debacle I just ordered 4 of the ESCO rubber/flat top stands for $59 each (Home Depot was the only place that had them in stock with free shipping) and got the Axel posts separately for $22 each on Pelican. The combo pack from...

    Lets see your welding set-ups!

Very cool. Was just looking at the stats, looks like a pretty capable little machine. Garage DIYer here too; I do have a 220V outlet but it's a tiny shop so this thing might be just the ticket. Did you A/B it against any similar options before you bought it?

How do you like that little plasma cutter? How much CFM does it require?

Haha, painting the door is on the list for sure. You're the second guy to bring that idea up now; eventually you guys are gonna wear me down:bounce: That outfeed table is a GREAT idea and would've come in super handy more than a few times already...bookmarking for my next free afternoon:thumbup:

Good advice on the crosscut sled/and paste wax; I'll definitely have to check that out. So far the DeWalt has been great; super stable on the few jobs I've used it on so far. Mine's a DWE7491, so must be very similar to the one you have nicholam77. I'll get some more pics up with updates...

Alright, this is one I'm in for...I'm also coming from a tiny one-car build with tangentially similar themes, so I'm excited to see where this goes!

So, regarding the table saw - I essentially went the exact route you described. I had some Home Depot gift cards lying around and ended up putting them towards a fairly heavy duty DeWalt folding/wheeled jobsite model: Folded up and stood on end, it tucks in pretty well under the cabinets on...

Okay, sorry guys - I know I've been AWOL on updating this thread for a while; back at it. Keeping on the race car and VW theme...added some more touches to the left side wall: Closer look at the number. I used Oracal adhesive-backed stencil vinyl for this, first cut out a big circle and then...

Temps in the teens when I get out to my car in the morning the past few days :cool: Winter is coming for sure. I do have the sunroof - does your rattle only when it's open, or also when it's closed too? I haven't noticed a rattle, but honestly I don't really move my sunroof around all...
