I bought in on the first batch, that one did fail after a couple of years, I was sent the upgraded Elite model and that so far has been running for 18 months. For my set up this is the best compressor as noise would be a problem.

I run mine without the hood. I check the oil for moisture and change it with new filters every 6 months. I hope this one works for you.
