    Above 1200 Sq/FT MrBill's 30x50 garage/home renovation insanity

Looks like the GC is keeping things tidy and his subs are detail orientated. Congrats on your choice. Not sure of your lay out or if your place has any shared walls between a living area and a sleeping area, most do, have you thought about adding insulation between these shared walls? I have a...

    Mezzanine vs Shelves

I had the same decision to make when my shop got done. I elected to go with the mezzanine. 10' wide x 30' long. My wall height is only 13'6" and the bottom of the mezzanine is 8' from the floor, I do have to duck when I'm walking around up there but since I'm short I don't have to duck much...

    And so it begins: 50x140

That thing is a monster but looking good. Keep us updated. Can I assume it will be painted red to match the other buildings?

    30x50x16 Pole Barn Workshop

I'm impressed. You found someone that actually used rebar and not mesh. :) Looking good. Should be ready to start using it or is there other plans before use?

    Finally pulled the trigger

Thanks, it does feel good to get it done. On to the next project. The irony of it all, I was going to put up the cover for the whole length of the shop and extend it the additional 10 foot to cover the RV, but decided the wife would gripe about the extra materials and blah, blah, blah. So I just...

    Finally pulled the trigger

The RV cover project has come to an end. Finished it up this morning :bounce: Got help with the tin in the form of the father-in-law, his tractor and one of my friends :rocker:

    Finally pulled the trigger

Minor update today. Got the rest of the almond tin up and figured out, with the help of the father-in-law and his tractor, how to get at least 3 of the charcoal tins on the roof :bounce: This week I should be able to get the trim on and that will leave the other 11 tins to go up next Saturday...

    Finally pulled the trigger

Thanks. Still trying to figure out how to get tin up there. Roughly 13' off the ground. Anyone got any ideas ? Other than go rent a fork lift

It looks like they did a good job, how do you like it so far?

    Finally pulled the trigger

Today's progress was tuff, the last couple of 2x10's that have been sitting in the shop for at least 2 weeks were still soaking wet and HEAVY. But all the wood work is done :bounce: Also got all the perlins up and almost ready for the roofing tin. Just need to figure out how to get it up there...

Building looks great, who did you use to put it up?

    Finally pulled the trigger

Got to the point where I could make sure I had enough room from the top of the trailers A.C. units to the bottom of the joists. Looks like I have roughly 2 -3 foot, plenty of room :) Also started to put on the perlins, going to use the trailers roof as a way to get up there, should make it...

That is a BUNCH of shale but it looks like you needed it. But at least you won't have to mow that area for awhile ;)
