I installed both the Chamberlain and a Lift-master 8500 that attaches to the shaft. Both are easy to install, but the lift-master 8500 is quieter. The MyQ works great once setup, but as others noted you have to have the gateway. I bought the Chamberlain unit that had the gateway in the box...
