    Show us your cool, "old" drill press

    My old Buffalo 15 drill press I picked up for $90 last summer. It seems to have very little use, everything operates smoothly. The last picture shows the table that was installed on it; a piece of sheet metal on top of 3/4" plywood.

    How do you cut steel in your shop

    I find grinders to be loud in my garage; it's in the basement right below the living room, but they are very useful. The best tool I've purchased is a manual iron worker. It was a cheap used Chinese made version, but once cleaned and adjusted it cuts great. It will cut flat bar, angle, rods...

    A drill from my Grandfather; a 312AB. Quite a heavy drill with 1/2" Jacobs 34 chuck. What I find interesting is its ability to run on AC or DC power.

    What did you do "IN" your garage today?

    Made some soft jaws for my vice. I just used scrap pine; they may not last long but will be easy to remake, and cheap! Drilled and countersunk the holes deep enough they wouldn't contact the clamped workpiece.
