Just found this thread looking for info on my arbor press. Got it years ago out of a scrap pile. Disassembled, cleaned and greased it up. Not pretty but works well. Teeth on the ram and spindle are in great shape. Looks like someone in the past used a hammer on the ram top and mushroomed it out...
