240v shop heater how many volts should the fan be?

Well there is no step down transformer and it's hardwired with 10/2. The ground wire is insulated and goes directly to the panel. I know it should be a 3 wire but I was guessing someone ran the wrong wire. Now that I'm reading into this it sounds much more likely that the fan is also 240. Thoughts?

240v shop heater how many volts should the fan be?

I have an old 30amp 240v shop heater that I'm working on. The contactor was bad and someone before me was in there messing with the wiring. I put a new contactor in and the element heats up fine but it's not clear to me if the fan is powered by 120v or 240v. I wired the fan to 120 and seams...

Simple open loop radiant heat system.

I was originally thinking of using a heat exchanger, but if I can make this open system work I think it will be the cheapest option. I was hoping to use this $164 stainless steel pump It's $60 more than the cast iron version and I only need one. As for the fittings, I was planning on using...

Thanks for the input so you recommend I use a heat exchanger or a second water heater?

Simple open loop radiant heat system.

Ok I've moved the dhw line before the pump, increased the loop pipe size(however the RU80 only has 3/4" connections), and added a backflow preventer. I understand now how a mixing valve would lower the loop temperature by getting its cold input from after the loop. However, the califfi 5231...

One other question do I need to add a one-way valve or backflow preventer on the cold water inlet?

Simple open loop radiant heat system.

Addressing the legionella issue the loops contain about 4 gallons of water, and with people living in the two bathroom unit upstairs, there should be new water in this system daily. The three loops are not exact, they are between 90'- 100'. I plan on using a bluefin 3 loop manifold to balance...

Simple open loop radiant heat system.

Hello, my name is Ryan. This is my first post here. I'm looking for some critique of my garage radiant floor heat plan. I'm building an ADU in Renton WA. It has an 800 sq foot apartment upstairs and an 800 sq foot garage on the first floor. In the garage, I already have three 100' loops of...
