Why are American's tool boxes so big?

I'm gonna say variety, we like to have a large variety of tools and work on a bunch of different things, I don't know many foreigners that have a complete set of regular and deep well SAE and Metric sockets, SAE and metric wrenches, etc. plus we carry A lot of specialty tools that we use. Once I...

    Tool Truck Etiquette

It seems to be a lot about debating the business model, but i'll throw my opinion down (not that it's worth anything). If I buy a Snap-On / Matco tool at location A, I move, get a new job, etc. Now i'm working at location B (assuming Snap-On / Matco trucks visit) And I walk onto the truck, if...

    New motorcycle tool kit

As the name suggests, i'm making a new motorcycle kit, not too worried about the tools since i should have everything, but i am trying to make the whole kit fit inside of an old pocket tackle box that i picked up at a pawn shop a few years ago. (not actual picture, stole this off a website, but...

    Mythbusters: Jamie's Toolkit

He probably didn't want to show off his secret box, but you are right, he looked like he really didn't want to be doing this in front of a camera

    Snapon or Craftsman?

I love Oxy-Acetylene (OA) Torches, it is my hands-down favorite when it comes to welding. I'd love to get one if i had from for it!

    Snapon or Craftsman?

Snap-On is no better than Matco, with these two, it really depends on the location for which is better. If your Matco dealer kicks *** and is great, then go Matco, if your SO dealer is like that, go SO. If you have a preferred feel between the two than go with what feels most comfortable...

    Rhino Ramps?

I actually probably paid more for the damn ramps then a jack, I was feeling lazy and i have a little economy car so it "should" be easier to use those. I had my Mitsubishi lancer on them to. I'd have flipped a ***** if it was my car that dropped, i'd have been so pissed words could not...

    Best portable toolbag/box

I have that one, it's a great bag, i love it for storing power tools. But i would be cautious about abusing it, it doesn't seem like it can handle a ton of stress in the long run. If you can use metal, i got this one a bit ago: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00D8UPIMO/?tag=atomicindus08-20 I love...

    Machinists get in here?

Kennedy or go home. Is that not a starret in your box? get out of my shop now. Someone lent you a outside micrometer? better go get it re-adjusted before bringing it back, just in case, quadruple check it. still now happy? OK let me go do that one more time for ya, haha. We had a group joke...

    Ace Pro = GW?

Fair enough, although it is anywhere from $1-$10 per wrench cheaper to get one saying ACE instead of GW and i get the same warranty. works for me.
