Where to find Skilsaw 77-Type 15 5/8" arbor adaptors

Nothing very interesting, low/high tooth count wood cutting blades, demo blade, and a couple metal cutting blades. I just almost always use my battery powered saw (with the round arbor), so it feels like a waste having duplicate blades that would almost never be used.

Where to find Skilsaw 77-Type 15 5/8" arbor adaptors

It currently has a diamond shaped retainer for the blade. Yup! Some of mine do as well, but my other saw has a round arbor and I'd like them to be able to use the same blades. Although now that I think of it, maybe it would be easier to get or make a diamond shaped adaptor for the other saw.

Where to find Skilsaw 77-Type 15 5/8" arbor adaptors

I had this Skilsaw passed down to me and am fixing it up, but I'd like to be able to use it with 5/8" arbor blades. In the manual, it mentions this option. Alternate versions of parts 89 and 92 (part numbers 20636 and 23407) seem to have been available at one point, and seem to have...

    Best 6.5 HP wet/dry vacuum?

If you are in the US, unless you get one that is larger than what can go on a 120V/15A circuit, then I think you are just trading air flow for a higher pressure differential with the two-stage. For some things that is needed, but it seems like the opposite is better for most roles this type of...

    Best 6.5 HP wet/dry vacuum?

Yea this thing doesn't even have a gasket, so there's definitely at least a bit of leakage there. But the motor starts stuttering before it reaches even half of its rated pressure differential, so while there's room for improvement in sealing, the problem has to be with the motor or the fan (or...

    Best 6.5 HP wet/dry vacuum?

Yea the DeWalt ones (made by Alton) look great. One was on my top 4 until I decided to prioritize flow rate over pressure differential. If I didn't have the central vacuum for higher pressure differential needs I probably would have gone with the DeWalt. I had to contact Alton to get the...

    Best 6.5 HP wet/dry vacuum?

Na, that's a fairly well known marketing gimmick that is enabled by horsepower not being a very good metric for something like a vacuum's performance (although it does stratify the different levels of performance pretty well). Some of the inflation of the horsepower rating has some validity...

    Best 6.5 HP wet/dry vacuum?

Well, I picked up the Ridgid. It's working well enough for the jobs I have for it right now, although it doesn't make anywhere near the rated static pressure, less than half, although it starts to stutter as it builds the vacuum so it's hard to say exactly. I'll contact Ridgid tomorrow and...

    Best 6.5 HP wet/dry vacuum?

Been trying to find a good wet/dry vacuum. Mostly just interested in best performance rather than noise, filtration, and reliability (aside from not being completely terrible). I think I mostly narrowed it down to these three choices, although there might be better options out there. Can't...

    Comparison of air compressors (oil-free, 120 V, 3+ CFM @ 90 PSI, <$500)

I'd have to take a look at the terms of their warranty, but I imagine they would classify piston rings and cylinders as normal wear and exclude that from coverage.

    Comparison of air compressors (oil-free, 120 V, 3+ CFM @ 90 PSI, <$500)

I did just find something interesting. One reason I chose the CAT was because they had individual replacement parts available, including the piston rings and cylinders. I haven't seen anyone else offering that, and I just called Stealth to confirm, and then don't sell anything less than an...

Overly thorough review of the California Air Tools 10020C compressor.

Yea that's why I put that part up top haha. I know most people won't be interested in a detailed look at some air compressor wheels. For me, the main concern in an air compressor is the quality of the motor and pump. The CAT seems to have a pretty good design there, and has easily replaceable...

    Comparison of air compressors (oil-free, 120 V, 3+ CFM @ 90 PSI, <$500)

Thanks for sharing that! I actually ended up getting the CAT 10020C myself and just posted a fairly thorough review here: https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/threads/overly-thorough-review-of-the-california-air-tools-10020c-compressor.514164/ I saw you mentioned some similarities between the...

Overly thorough review of the California Air Tools 10020C compressor.

Just got this compressor and thought I'd do a review of it. If anyone is wanting to pick one up, Air Compressors Direct has it for $340 for three more days. I'm not quite satisfied with the quality of mine, and will likely be returning it, depending on the response (if any) from CAT. I've...
