I cut up a dish rack as well. Works fine. I get them at the thrift store somewhere around $0.25 ea....even cheaper than Walmart.

The ones I have aren't any good either. I think the main problem with them is that the steel wheels are out of round, in that the 'axle' s not center. As they turn they jam into the caster body.

I made a similar bench with the supports going back to the bottom of the wall. Once I got it in, I figured that I could still put a shelf under the bench that was just over 1/2 the depth of the bench. It has actually worked out nicely and doesn't get in the way when sitting at the bench at all...

what size is the cooler? Are you pushing or pulling the air through the cooler? Looks like it would pull from the outside air. Also, how did you assemble the trap? is it as striaght forward as it looks in the pcitures or is there something internal?

we used 6 of them to hold up our deck at the lake. the rot coating has been holding up well for 25+ years. I know ours do have a bit of metal embedded in them. between the coating and possibility of metal being embedded I think I would try to find another material source to turn into boards...

given the many different designs for struts, do you have a picture of what you are trying to take apart? what type of vehicle does it go on? taking struts apart can be very dangerous depending on the spring forces designed into the strut module. I would recommend alot of caution when dealing...

harbor freight has 3 foot rubber hoses in several sizes. Cheap and will get you going, but i can't speak to longterm durability. look in the air tool/fitting section
