    Metal Panel cost

The batts I used in that picture above were R38 for 24" spacing, I think the actual width might have been a touch less. They were up with no ceiling for a long time and never fell out, so they were relatively snug.

    Metal Panel cost

When I did my ceiling a few years ago I bought a cheaper drywall lift from Harbor Freight and bolted a couple longer 2x4's on top. Made putting up the larger panels pretty easy.

    LED High Bay Recommendation

I put 4 150W UFO lights in a 24x50 barn with 16' ceilings. Storage only, but I was surprised with the amount of light.

    Installation help for Maxlite LSS2XT8USE4803

I am using 4ft of EMT between the fixture, 4 row of 6, using the fixture to contain the wire connections. I did contact Maxlite and they confirmed that the fixtures are not rated as a raceway for other circuits (I wanted to run a circuit for a garage door opener through them).

Trouble deciding between integrated LED, retrofit ballast bypass, or LED tube ready

FWIW, I am in the process of replacing T8 fluorescent fixtures and bulbs with LED tube ready fixtures and LED tubes. I only had a handful of old fixtures and I wanted more light, so retrofitting the old fixtures was not really considered for me. I considered integrated LED fixtures, but, like...

Whos using the MAXLITE 4803 fixture and LED bulbs from sticky thread?

I thought the 4000K looked too yellow and made the shop seem dim to me. You can see the difference in the picture, bulb on the right is 5000K, one on the left is 4000K. Can't see it in the bulbs, but you can tell on the surrounding ceiling. I liked the 5000K better.

Whos using the MAXLITE 4803 fixture and LED bulbs from sticky thread?

I am halfway through putting up 24 of them in a 30x50 barn with 10ft ceiling. I am putting 4 rows of 6. So far very happy. I originally tried 4000K bulbs, but ended up going with 5000K.

    Insulating a Garage currently w/o a ceiling

12ft lengths would be a lot easier to handle. I am putting up (1) 18 and (2) 15.5ft lengths for three pieces in my 50ft (about 48.5ft inside) barn. I thought about two pieces 24.5ft each, but the handling would have been a lot more difficult.

    Insulating a Garage currently w/o a ceiling

Regarding a lift, drywall lift is working really well for me. I bought a cheap lift and bolted 16ft 2x4's to it. Lifting 18ft sheets of metal by myself. Holds them up nice and easy to tweak into position. Looked at renting, was way cheaper for me to buy one at the speed I am going and I can...

    Insulating a Garage currently w/o a ceiling

I'm using the interior steel mentioned a few posts up. R38 batts. Slow going, but so far happy with the results.

Linear Highbay vs UFO type Highbay

For what it is worth, I put 4 150W UFO lights in a 24x50 barn with 16ft walls. I was concerned it would not be enough, but it was far brighter than I expected. I temped the lights up with extension cords before wiring the outlets to make sure I had enough and where I wanted them. I am only...

    Ground routing in pole shed

I don't know about your area, but I spoke to my inspector prior to filling in the trench and he was good with filling it in given that the floor needed to be poured before I could finish the electrical to the point of inspection. I did take plenty of pictures and my inspector was good with it...

I think I figured out the picture thing, should be attached.

    Ground routing in pole shed

I did not run the small conduit all the way to the box, just to get the ground through the floor. I have pics, but I am not able to figure out how to attach them because the site seems to want a link for a picture versus uploading.

    Ground routing in pole shed

I just did exactly what you are describing except I ran the ground adjacent to the feeder conduit, I put it through a small piece of conduit until I got to the bottom of the trench. Comes up next to the feeder conduit and will go right in the panel. Two rods in the trench.
