How do you leave a crescent wrench?

I carry my 8" on me and close it because the head sticks out and would catch on things. I dont mess with the cresents that set in my truck, no point in adjusting them. I do close my pipe wrenches all the way before putting them away. Vibration while driving opens them and makes it a PITA to put...

What stubby wrenches do you like?

http://www.tooltopia.com/sunex-tools-9930.aspx I got these. Great for a low use item and they go from 3/8-1". Only complaint is they are bulky on both ends, not a go thing for a tool made for tight quarters. I took a grinder to a few to get them to fit my uses.

    TITAN Tools....???? Pass or Fail

If I'm not mistaken Mac's extra long 1/2" Dr. Flex head is a rebranded Titan ratchet. I have Mac's version and like it. Would say it is ALMOST truck brand quality and well above Harbor Freight quality.

    Should I switch SO drivers?

I started buying from this driver in November. Picked up a few ratchets and odds and ends off his truck. I made payment that were at least double what the agreed payment was and had my account played by mid December. In late november I ordered a carbor scraper. Mid december I ordered a set of...

    Wrenching practices to avoid...

By the book and actually working on stuff are vastly different. I disagree with that statement. It follows the "I have always done it this way and haven't got hurt Yet" Mentality. Use the proper tool for the job. If you don't have it, get it. Always use your protective equipment. It isn't...

Fractional Inch Tools - Who Needs 'Em?

I work in natural gas compression. Cat and Waukesha engines and Ariel, Ajax, and Gemeni compressors use only SAE. Came across a turbine starter that had 3 metric 12pt. bolts on it a few years ago. I only keep one set of metric wrenches on my truck for that one odd item I see once every five years
