I'm doing the exact same thing but with only air in the cavity. Mine will be semi-recessed - my 2x4 garage walls will be firred out with 2x2's to get extra insulating value and the chase will be a 4" high by 2" deep cavity with an MDF cap to cover it up. I'll install drops with fittings and...
