    The VISES of Garage Journal

Just want to add (since I’m in Norway...) that that one is a non- sparking one, made from Bronze of some kind. If someone is interested ( I’ve looked at it myself a few times, but have no use for a non-spark vise) I’d be happy to help. Be advised though, shipping from Norway is expensive as...

Here's an interesting video from Bahco outlining their entire wood saw range: Made in Sweden appears several times in the video.

I manager to break a Knipex- branded Weidmuller and went with the Embla, albeit rebranded as well. I would say that the Embla is the better of the two. I think that this kind of wirestripper was discussed in some length a few pages back. Might be worth a search, unless one is set on the old type...

Well, I have a cousin who's a welder and he uses only 2 types: Kemmpi or Migatronic. Kemmpi has stopped making the small ac/dc single phase tig so limited as to choice. He has people working for him that uses this and similar machines all day every day and highly recommend them which is why I...

Thanks! Although I may have to try and avoid TBS Aachen for a while. This one arrived yesterday: And all said and told it turned out damn expensive... No mention of country of origin anywhere though, which makes me slightly worried but it's a Danish company and the product seems to be top...

If I'd had more space they would most definitely have been sorted on individual racks by shininess [emoji1][emoji15][emoji1303] I try my very hardest not to become a collector, but I do realize I'm slowly but surely are accumulating tools which I have very little use for but which I am unable...

    Tools from the old world

A while back I made provisions for buying an old vise from someone on the Norwegian equivalent of Craigslist. When getting there to pick it up he had "some" other things of interest as well. Long story short I ended up buying quite a lot but left even more behind. Before leaving I made him...

I would take a long look at Compac: http://www.compac.dk/en/ Although I'm not entirely sure everything is still made in Denmark. It used to be.

I know that the Embla is made in Sweden. It says so on the tool itself. I actually bought it to replace the similar one from Weidmuller/ Knipex. As far as I have been able to tell there seems to be 3 different places producing this type of tool. Abiko/Embla in Sweden, Weidmuller in Germany and...
