I for one did not take your comments to be negative. As for the floor diamond grinder it will leave about a 4-6" unground space from the wall. It will be a little more in the corners. Yes, DO NOT remove the cover unless you want a lot of dust....A LOT. the 4" grinder I used without a cover...
