I have a Hay-Budden anvil from the late 1800s that some guy decided to etch his initials into. It weighs over 100lbs so I’m not sure who could potentially run off with it…

Found this beauty today on Facebook Marketplace for $200. There’s a ton of brown paint all over it but I believe it might possibly be a Hay Budden. There is some damage to the edges but not the end of the world. The anvil weighed in at 107lbs. Not bad at less than $2 a pound!

Interesting. I wonder if Reed had some 105 stationary vises and paired a swivel base with them. Would make sense since usually the 2** designation signifies the vise came with a swivel base.

Been out of the vise world for a while but I just picked up this nice 1942 Reed 204A last weekend. Whoever bought it did not use it very much as the knurls on both jaws are nearly flawless.

Just received my order and I couldn’t be happier. So surprised to win the Yeti cooler and yes, my winning leaf is on the left. So surprised to see box art as well! Can’t wait for next year!
