    Slatwall accessories?

If the slot is compatible with standard slatwall, just get the retail stuff, very inexpensive. I get items from https://www.kc-store-fixtures.com and https://www.storesupply.com.

    Curtain with Track?

I put a curtain in my shop using track and parts from Curtain Rod Connection: https://curtainrodconnection.com/collections/9600-cubicle-track-parts/products/9600-track In my case (heating a work area in the winter), I wanted a transparent curtain, so went with clear vinyl. But in researching...

Slat wall - shelf load question

I use these plates for making custom mounts: https://www.kc-store-fixtures.com/slatwall-backplate-2wx2-1-2h-raw Can be welded too. Also a good place to get slatwall accessories.

What do you wish you had done differently when you built your shop?

Although costly, epoxy flooring is one of the best things I did. No worries about oils, cutting fluids, or stains. No traction problems. And you can customize the finish...it looks sharp. I did the paint chips and the company that makes them sent free baggies so I could work up my own color mix...

Thin coating for metal to increase friction?

Also try butyl rubber or neoprene strip.

What (hearing protection) earmuffs are you using/recommend?

I too use the HF muffs for general shop use, mainly saws, but also with the shop vac. I like that I can have the band behind my head for use with a face shield and/or respirator. They hang from magnetic hooks around the shop. Keep in mind that you can double up for the noisy stuff...foamies +...

Anyone use plastic storage bins on shelves instead of tool cabinets/boxes?

I use a mix of storage approaches to try and optimize access time for things (tools, materials) that get used a lot vs. those that don't, ability to find stuff. Things get rearranged once in awhile to re-optimize. Tool chests - for small tools needed all the time. Screwdrivers, wrenches...

Anyone else doing a datacenter in the garage?

I run Ubiquiti UniFi for wifi mesh, and just an EdgeRouter for firewall and tunnel to another home out of state. It's been very reliable. One Intel NUC running Proxmox on ZFS for all the VMs (Plex, Pihole, Ubuntu Servers, Home Assistant, etc). Maybe 40 watts. One 16 TB NAS for all the storage.

    Garage / Workbench Photos?

Receiver mounts are welded on. I went with 1.5", for 1.25" attachment inserts. For holding attachments, there is a 1/4" pin. For things that need to be snug, there are projection weld nuts. You can also lay a bead on your inserts for a tighter fit. Mounts are handy, have attachments for a rifle...

    Garage / Workbench Photos?

One of mine, welded frame for holding a couple of chests. Includes receiver mounts so I can quickly set up a vise or other accessory. This one is butcher block top as a beater bench. There is another one with a laminate top.

Heavy tables on casters or hoverpucks?

I use leveling casters for these situations- heavy table where I don't want any wiggle. Very stable when the leveling feet are engaged. However, not ideal if you are moving your table around regularly as they take time to set up. I'm running these on my mill table: e.g...

    Pallet racking

Great stuff, esp. to take advantage of higher ceilings. Get more than you think you need. I didn't plan shelf spacing well enough and ended up changing things around over time...a pain. Include overhead sections to maximize storage, like over a sink. You can use magnetic hooks on it for all...

Metal Stock for a Steeevo Bench

I used 1.5" 16 ga square tube for my workbenches. For the one holding a pair of drawer chests, I went with 1.5" 16 ga angle iron for support rails on the bottom. This kept the final height reasonable, while still allowing the underneath to be vacuumed. Also, the chests slide in, instead of...
