I also picked up this set with a Federal Stock Number. I wiped the sockets down with oil and cut a mat to fit in the bottom. Turned out nice!

I picked this up yesterday. Kinda goes along with the previous post. The previous owner had spray painted it black. Looks good, but seems wrong. Should I strip the paint off? What would you use? Thanks.

Just picked up a NOS DMC-110 Aviation ratchet dated 1983 with a Snap-on 11/32 socket attached. Anyone know what the DMC refers to?

Thanks for your response. I have added some PB Blaster to the switch and feels like it has loosened slightly.

I picked up this Williams S-55 ratchet adapter. The seller said the switch works. I pushed it harder than I thought I should and it worked. I soaked it overnight in WD-40 ... still really stiff. Any soaking recommendations? Or is it easy to disassemble? Thanks.

I picked up a Hi-Shear Corporation (HLH101-250) 1/4" ratchet because it looked Snap-on made. I had never heard of these before. It has a hole in the drive gear and no ball detent.

Proto Tools Picture Thread - Post Yours!

I decided to clean and lubricate this Proto 4749 ratchet. One of the springs seemed stuck, so I grabbed the spring with my tweezers and the spring broke. I couldn't find any cheap donor ratchets or cheap rebuild kits to fix it. Bonus: I broke down and bought a repair kit, and one of the springs...
