I have a complete set of Craftsman reversible ratchets and if you look close all are U.S.A except the 9mm. The one I have to complete my set is from Taiwan. Come to find out, they never made a U.S.A version, most likely because of the rarity of its uses.
My argument was the quality of the tool, and how others are comparing them to be the same quality of a China tool, not the politics of offshoring (Which I fully agree with you I might add) :thumbup:.
I remember reading this from somewhere. It wasn't Sears that chose to move production overseas...
I don't know why everyone keeps putting Taiwan with the same standard as China. From what I have seen over the years, Taiwan's tool quality is much higher then China. Not as high as German or USA, but decent tools that I seen in the last 10 years. Its not even comparable to that **** in China...
I love magnets. Most of my tools are hung up with magnets using a Peg Board, they work very well. On some tools I insert magnets inside the inner case, which also works well when mounting. This might not work well for what your trying to do, but I just wanted to add possible ideas to help.
