I use these things very often for vintage auto restoration/repair. Really nice to clean up things like head studs so that I can get a more accurate torque. Not sure if I really get a more accurate torque but it seems to make sense that a bunch of dirt in the threads could affect torque

Yes I am aware of this and as I only work on cars that have distributors that would be very helpful for me.

So I bought a sun 945/947 engine analyzer and it looks like the oscilloscope portion of it is having a bit of trouble. When trying to adjust it the line flickers and disappears. Sometimes the line is there and sometimes it isn’t..... bounces up and down like it’s getting a reading without...
