Layout of a bolt circle when there's already a hole in the center.

Once you find the center point of the hole there are tables in The Machinery Handbook to help you layout the circle of holes. My copy is at my nephews shop or I could tell you the page/chapter.

What do you think of the wampler? (Air chuck)

You should put a couple feet of hose by the clip on. Otherwise, the weight of it can wreck the threads on the valve stem. Also, airing up with the tire flat on the ground eliminates that.

    self feed paint roller

I have the sidekick one. I liked it when we remodeled 3 rooms I primed and painted with it. Perfect no, handy yes. I also used the kind that was battery operated and you carry it with a gallon of paint in it. I painted my dad’s shop. The bottom 8 feet are plywood. The shop is 35x45. I started...

    Shop Computer Setup

I work with a lot of different shops. I see two approaches mainly. Cheap and dirty and don’t feel bad when it fails. Or high end toughbooks computers. I use my iPad and try to keep it clean.

A couple of things to remember. Always store new grease tube with the arrow on the side pointing UP. Hang the grease gun up with the top up. If you are filling with an air pump, run a regular tube through first and leave the tube in. My dad and my nephew will run all 4 grease guns empty...

    Heat pad for work station

At my last job my office had three concrete outside walls. I would run two space heaters and could get it like a sauna in there. But, I would still be cold. I bought a $50 heated floor mat and it changed my life. When your feet get cold it *****. look for a heated floor mat or heated pet mat...

    Help with Fleet Oil Changes

Do you have compressed air available? I have seen guys use and an old air compressor tank. It is filled with oil and marked on a sight gauge on the side for each quart. Then you open a valve on the bottom forcing the oil into the car. It only takes a few psi like 5-10 to move oil. You can speed...
