3 Way wiring with a single pole switch?

I replaced a fan at my parent's house last weekend, and discovered something interesting... The setup: Power comes to the fixture box in the ceiling, and then there are two 12/2 wires leaving that each go to a switch. They wanted permanent power wired to the fan part so that it's only...

    New control wire?

The inside blower is coming on, but nothing on the outside unit turns on. I just have straight cool and gas heat. On the board inside, it looks like i just have 2 wires being used going to the outside unit. I'll pull the outside breaker and check continuity when the rain stops tomorrow... I...

    New control wire?

I had a rat get into my house a month or so ago, and I've since killed the rat, but he left me a surprise to find as it warmed up! My heat has been working just fine, but I switched over to ac today and noticed the fan was blowing, but it wasn't cooling down. The compressor wasn't on outside...

yeah, I'm still on the fence about what color to use. I kind of want to do something a little different than the original grey, and i've decided against black or red.

so I haven't had a lot of time to work on the box, and I really want to get it done, so I decided to take it to a place to have all the paint stripped off, then to the welder to get the seams fixed, and then have it powder coated. Now for the bad news, the process they used to strip it...

I've been working on it with a wire brush. It should be a good box when I'm done. I like the style of these old boxes. I haven't been able to find a replacement drawer pull, so I guess I need to make one, does anybody know what the handle would have looked like on the bottom chest?

It is currently a hammered gray color, but I think mine has been repainted as well at some point. There are spots where it is a flat gray color. I'm currently taking it down to the metal so that i can remove all the rust and give it a new coat of paint.

So I've been pondering the color I want to paint this thing. I'm a chevy guy, so I was looking at the colors Chevrolet offered in 1957 when my box was made and, I came across this. Its called Harbor Blue. What do you guys think?

yeah, I think I'm going to have someone else do the welding for me. What is the best way to get the small dings out of the side and backs?

Thanks rsanter, I haven't done any welding before but from what I've been reading, i'm going to have to be very careful not to burn through and cause damage. Would I be better off with MIG or Stick?

I started off using a wire brush because I thought it would be the fastest way. What are the benefits of using a chemical stripper? I'm a little worried about welding too. Is there a better way to fix the seams?
