    Chopped 55 f100

Saw this truck at a local car show, turns out we are from the and county not too far away from each other. Small world made smaller through garage journal! I also good to meet the owner/ builder and his family, super nice folks. I can tell you all, pictures aren't even close to worthy of this...

    40' x 40' High Bay Garage Build

Looks great. Almost exactly what I plan on building at my house. Can I ask, what are the dimensions of the loft area? Also what is the roof slope/pitch and peak height? Trying to get a good idea of where I'll be when I build mine.

    Anybody out there happy wrenching?

I also struggled with school at some points. I have a degree in autobody and small business administration, haven't worked in the business in years. After graduating I worked for a very well known hot rod shop and got to help build some incredible machines, usually in the 6 figures range...

    Ideal garage size

The house I grew up in had a 2 car attached garage, we built a 40x60 steel building with lots of space around it for parking vehicles. Wasn't enough. The house my parents live in now has a 2 car attached, 60x100 steel building and a 10x40 storage container that was built into a barn like...

Re: What did you do in your garage today? Cleaned it, then filled it full of stuff. We are staging everything there so we can sort it before moving it into the house. FINALLY GOT MY TOOLBOX IN IT!!!

I value your opinion- what pocket knife are you carrying?

For everyday, typical use I carry a 3-blade old timer. For "other" uses or potential uses I carry a 5.11 folder, on the large size, discontinued model. Also a neck knife from Escala industries. Not shown on the website as it is a facebook special he runs on occasion...

So your neighbor is building again...what to do?

You nailed it! There is also a lot of cooperate involvement with making codes, especially electrical. Ever seen codes that require certain types of materials, fasteners, etc. $ plays a big role in code making like it or not. What ever happened to taking responsibility for yourself and leaving...

    What your Dad taught you,

How to ride sleds, atv's, etc. Also how to drive cars, tractors, most land based vehicles. The value of doing a good job. Family before work, always (although inadvertantly) It's ok to cry once in a while. We are a bunch of softies! How to shoot. Still learning from him.

So your neighbor is building again...what to do?

Personally, it would take some serious offense for me to even notice that my neighbor is doing something illegal. What they do is none of my business and I pay little attention to them. Generally, I have found that keeping to my self is a good practice. It would have to be one of your extreme...

New roof : Metal or shingle?

I used to install metal roofing. My current house has shingles but when they need replaced I'll go metal. From my experience the pros far outweigh the cons. Plus if doing the work yourself, metal goes much faster. Plus metal is becoming so popular that you can get it in a ton of color, texture...
