Doesn't seem like a torture test to me, more like a one-time force test. If he wanted to do a wow test, he could have buried all of them in sand for a few days (to test how well they seal) and then "tortured" them by seeing how long (# of rotations) they would last before binding up or stripping.
If you want a thermostatically controlled tip you'll need to up your budget. Don't fall for a fake news cheapie.

I did the timing belt on my accord (v6) myself, and had to use the starter method to get it off. Some 4 years and 50,000 miles later the same starter is just fine.

It's a ratchet, not an impact wrench.
For a comparison, the Milwaukee M12 ratchet is rated at 35 lb-ft (vs Husky at 30 lb-ft) and 250 rpm (vs Husky at 230 rpm).
Considering the M12 ratchet runs $100 (without a charger), $50 for the Husky tool with charger and sockets is a good value.
