Not exactly a garage, my sons tower pics

In pic #2, is that a deer, a dog, or a statue of a deer in the background? It looks like a deer to me! That is my neighbors 3d target, but good catch! That's actually kinda funny, because I told the neighbor when the kids are gone I am loading this thing on a trailer, taking it to the woods...

Not exactly a garage, my sons tower pics

I didn't know where else to post these pics. We bought this tower kinda thing a few years back, but I added the top level this week. Everything that is not painted is new. I redid almost everything. I made the suspension bridge out of 4x4's. It weighs about 4,000 pounds. There is also a...

Now this is a nice tool box!!!!!!

150K?!?!?!? Haven't you ever heard of Harbor Freight? You could get all those tools, plus a dialysis machine and a soft icecream maker for about $500 there! I am too cheap, and WAY too hard on my tools to spend that kind of money. CHAZ

Shed construction pics, go easy on me!!

I am waiting for the weather to break. Well at least that is what I told the wife. I practically have it full already and there are only three walls. I have to hang the doors before I cover the last wall, and I just haven't gotten around to it yet. Plus it is really stupid cold in the north...

Shed construction pics, go easy on me!!

Here is the siding going on. Thanks to Brett Woodsides, and Jeff Hill (brother-in-law) for their help. More pics as I get it done, but don't hold your breathe, back to work tomorrow! CHAZ

Shed construction pics, go easy on me!!

Nothing heavy is going in here. I have a Cub tractor, I already figured if I put it in there I will need to put boards on the floor to drive it on. It is mostly getting riding mower stuff that isn't very heavy. The ends of the 4x4's are up on bricks sunk down in flush. CHAZ

Shed construction pics, go easy on me!!

Here is the "foundation" for my shed. To avoid a permit I needed to stay under 144 sq/ft and be on "skids." So my building is 11'11" by 11'11", and it is up on a skid of 4x4 pressure treated posts on 2 ft centers with tongue and groove plywood on top. This is us moving the walls. I built...

    Links to garden sheds/barns online?

Thanks for all the help. I ended up drawing up a 12x12 lean to (single pitch roof) that is 10 ft at the front and 8 foot at the back. I am going to put it up on pressure treated 4x4's and plywood flooring, and use steel siding (painted) and galvanized tin roofing. I took my materials list in...

    Links to garden sheds/barns online?

I guess I will just draw it out and make up a materials list. Anybody have any experience with these "non-building-buildings?" I was just going to make a frame of pressure treated 4x4's and then put plywood on top for the floor and build from there like a foundation? Thanks again, CHAZ

    Links to garden sheds/barns online?

I want to build a shed to make some more room in my garage. That's really funny because my garage is like 1300+ SF, but it filled up quick. LOL Anyway, I would like to build a shed/barn that is less than 144 sq/ft and up on skids (4x4's), no foundation. That is the requirement in my boro for...

    Ceiling idea, cheesy?

I hadn't considered fire. That's actually kinda odd for me because I am a little **** about not burning the place down. I weld and grind in there so I have to be carefull. What are some other ideas for cheap ceilings? I need to insulate and cover the ceiling and my garage is 24x56 so...

    Ceiling idea, cheesy?

What do you think about using 4x8 sheets of styrofoam insulation on the ceiling of my garage? I thought it might be a cheap, easy way to get both insulation and coverage for the ceiling. Thanks, CHAZ

    Hello!

I just found this place (came over from the HAMB) and I am impressed. I was really feeling fat and sassy over my garage until I saw what is going on in some shops! I will post some pics on the regular board when I get a chance to take some. I am building a 1950 Ford Pickup rat rod right now...
