Ha! I recognize those lamp parts. I've built our kitchen light using parts from creative cables as well. I thinking about using their mason jar kit for a mason jar "chandelier" in the hallway. Basically it'll be 3 mason jars bundled together as one light fixture. It's really coming together...

We've got the same idea paintwise! We've got a dog that drools quite a bit :rolleyes: Slobber comes of the white walls easily. I've got some trimwork to do around the windows, I think I'm going to steal your idea with the wood. But I'll be using light oak, that matches better with our kitchen...
